Amid the muddle of multitude
Not all our thoughts were made of mud
Spikes of fury came out of incertitude.
Cradled by waves of grins and shouts
We kept veering on the edges of the cledge.
Drawn by the windy rage of guts
Along the bowels we were e-choes
Of ranting diverticula stuck in the breaking points.

Piled one on each other
We’ve been told to smile and wait
Those carrying flamethrowers
Were going to burn the excess meat
To unveil the bony white
That makes us equal,
All shiny joints of the one and only
Juggernaut

The deadly arenas.
Eventually Equality
Was the heaviest wing.
We climbed and ramped
Though there wasn’t height just width.
As the juggernaut fled the blocks
Blindfolded and trembling
We saw the empty marrow
At the bottom of the stack.
Then the corpse of a Brainchild surfaced
From the embers of wet pyre.
Those were real remains
Someone could bury and mourn.
Spineless and unvoiced

On batteries of nameless graves.
